Six Sigma Certification is intended for people from all sectors of business – from production to quality, office to finance – who want to gain a better understanding of the processes within their organization in order to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

At DVIRC, the integration of Lean and Six Sigma tools into our methodology is a key component of our work.

All Six Sigma Training includes QI Macros statistical software. This is an easy-to-use Excel add-in that does all of the necessary number crunching for a typical Six Sigma project. It also contains various templates of use in one of these projects. The program helps to introduce the “Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control” (DMAIC) methodology and enables professionals to gain more control over processes, cut costs and save time and resources.

The Master Belt instructors from DVIRC have years of manufacturing experience, ranging from  implementation, training and coaching projects and Six Sigma onsite work.

Six Sigma Green Belt

Completion of the unique, application-centric Green Belt Certification process from DVIRC will help any organization use DMAIC methodology to lead teams through Six Sigma projects that address specific operational challenges that exist within an organization. This helps to promote improvement and control of constraining or unreliable processes to reduce cost, save time and resources, increase customer satisfaction and grow sales. Projects directly related to the organization will be completed in order to ensure that an understanding of the methodology and generation of immediate benefits occurs for the company. Throughout the certification process, key members of the organization will be meeting with other Green Belt candidates to share experiences and learn from one another. During this process, individual coaching from DVIRC’s Master Black Belt will help to hammer home the key points from the educational experience.

Six Sigma Black Belt

Through this program, people within an organization can learn the DMAIC strategy for developing and achieving better, faster and lower costs products and processes. The intended audience for one of these Six Sigma manufacturing programs is anyone who desires to become a practitioner of the methodology and tool set and who will lead these projects at their given organization. These individuals will learn how to handle non-normal data analysis and Design-of-Experiments for advanced process control. Black Belts will have more statistical tools available to them throughout the process in order to provide for a more in-depth analysis of data. These professionals can lead bigger teams and will act as a technical resource for people with Green Belt certification within an organization. Coursework consists of 11 days of classroom training after Green Belt Training with a mix of lecture and hands-on simulations to reinforce the learning. Classes are held 2 days at a time every 3 weeks to reduce time out of the office.

This training consists of many in-class examples, simulations, and hands-on exercises with a number of processes to ensure that participants have a working and practical knowledge of the necessary tools. It is expected that participants come with a project to work on so that they can immediately see a return on investment and help foster a dissemination of their knowledge for a specific business issue.
