DVIRC Appoints Amanda Page as Warfighter Technologies Liaison

DVIRC, a leader in accelerating America’s manufacturing competitiveness, today announced the appointment of Amanda Page as Warfighter Technologies Liaison. With her extensive background in military medicine, program management, and technology acceleration for the Department of Defense (DoD), Page will support the advancement of defense innovation and technology adoption, expanding DVIRC’s portfolio into Army-focused initiatives and medical manufacturing while aligning with the organization’s Manufacturing Moonshot goals for regional economic growth and national security.

Page brings over a decade of expertise in bridging warfighter needs with cutting-edge solutions. A decorated Combat Medic with 13 years of service in the United States Army, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, she managed medical operations for large units, oversaw multimillion-dollar budgets, and ensured operational readiness.

Transitioning to civilian roles, Page specialized in medical simulation for the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, modernizing training systems to provide realistic, repeatable exercises without real-world risks. She later served as Medical Team Leader and Program Manager I for a partnership intermediary agreement between the Air Force Research Laboratory and Montana State University’s MilTech program, managing portfolios of medical projects that included technology scouting, equipment modernization for austere environments, and selecting cost-effective, maintainable solutions for DoD customers.

In her new role at DVIRC, Page will diversify the organization’s strong Navy portfolio by expanding into Army programs, with a focus on military medical advancements. This expansion is timely as the DoD updates outdated equipment and prepares for new global challenges, opening doors for small and mid-sized manufacturers in the Delaware Valley region, renowned for its “meds and eds” strengths.

“Joining DVIRC allows me to leverage my military medical experience to expand opportunities in the Army domain and foster collaborations that drive innovation,” said Page. “The Philadelphia area is ready for growth in medical manufacturing, with its robust infrastructure, transportation networks, and world-class institutions like the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, and Drexel University. By connecting these assets with DoD needs, we can embed DVIRC as a legacy partner in building a resilient ecosystem for defense and economic prosperity.”

DVIRC’s leadership views Page’s addition as pivotal to achieving its Moonshot objectives, including accelerating AI adoption, workforce development, and manufacturing competitiveness. “Amanda’s pragmatic vision and longstanding DoD relationships position her perfectly to diversify our military engagements,” said Chris Scafario, President & CEO of DVIRC. “Her expertise will unlock new collaborations between manufacturers, academia, and the military, keeping the Delaware Valley at the forefront of defense innovation.”
