We’re thrilled to share that Sylvia Wower has been promoted to Chief Operations Officer (COO) of DVIRC. Since joining DVIRC in 2007, Sylvia has helped shape nearly every part of our business—building our Research Practice, co-founding Business Growth Services, and launching high-impact offerings like Lead Generation and Market Scouting. She has earned national recognition, mentored rising talent, and expanded our reach to more than 20 MEP Centers across the country.
In her new role, Sylvia will oversee all business operations, lead our service delivery teams, and support national partnerships while helping advance DVIRC’s bold 2030 Manufacturing Moonshot, including major initiatives like our AI Center of Excellence.
A proven leader with a global perspective, Sylvia and her Business Growth team have delivered 160,000 hours of successful project work across the MEP National Network and around the world. She has more than 16 years of international experience in market development and business intelligence, having successfully managed the execution of over 500 market development consulting projects for a variety of manufacturing sectors. Before joining DVIRC, she drove multimillion-dollar growth at QVC and held business development roles in Poland, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Sylvia holds dual MBAs in Global Business Management and HR Management, a bachelor’s degree in business, and business credentials from Saïd Business School at Oxford University, among others. She is active in numerous professional and community organizations and has published industry research, including Genetic Algorithms in Molecular Design of Novel Fibers and multiple manufacturing industry analysis reports.
