It might not be obvious at first, but the thrust of Industry 4.0, also referred to as Advanced Manufacturing Technology, is based on Lean methodologies.\u00a0 Manufacturers across the globe are leveraging Industry 4.0 to reduce costs, accelerate process speed, and generate a positive return on investment (ROI). In this environment, cost reduction is defined as labor, material, and overhead. Lean methods are solely based on a \u201csystematic elimination of waste.\u201d<\/p>\n
Over the past 30+ years, DVIRC has worked with more than 2,000 of the region\u2019s 4,500 manufacturing plants and has completed over 1,000 Lean projects with companies that range from 10 to over 1,000 employees.\u00a0 Each company is somewhere on the Lean journey, from little or no activity to fully engaged.
