Harry Landsburg

President, HL27, LLC

Harry Landsburg is President of HL27, LLC and the former Director of Business Process Technology Consulting at DVIRC. He works closely with companies in two areas of operational improvement; he directs companies interested in improving how they use software technology to best support their current and future business processes, and works with companies to improve their costing/quoting/pricing fundamentals and strategies.

Since joining DVIRC in 1992, Harry has worked with over 400 companies on their software opportunities and over 100 companies to ensure that their costing and the information they use to quote new products or jobs provides the best possible profitability. He developed a widely acknowledged “best practice” for helping clients interface with multiple software vendors, technology capability, and needs for functionality to best support their current and planned business processes. He provides a service called Costing for Competitiveness, which enhances a company’s understanding of its costing structure and its best application to quoting new business. He also performs financial analyses of company operations and develops financial forecasts and budgets to help companies grow and manage their businesses. His expertise includes Activity Based Costing and Lean Accounting principles and practices. He has worked with both discrete and process manufacturers in nearly every industry group, including: make-to-order/job shops, make-to-stock, mixed mode, engineer-to-order, and configure-to-order.

Prior to joining DVIRC, Harry Landsburg spent 20 years primarily in public accounting management consulting with two large firms. Most of his projects involved documenting company needs for computer software to help his clients improve their business operations. He wrote two industry-specific publications—one for the National Retail Merchants Association for small retailer accounting systems, and one for the American Bar Association to help law firms select time and billing software.

Harry holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Delaware. He is a non-practicing CPA and a member of the Pennsylvania and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He is a Certified Lead Internal Auditor for the DVIRC’s ISO 9001:2015 quality system and is certified to lead value stream mapping and business process mapping sessions as part of continuous improvement projects at DVIRC client companies.
