It might not be obvious at first, but the thrust of Industry 4.0, also referred to as Advanced Manufacturing Technology, is based on Lean methodologies.  Manufacturers across the globe are leveraging Industry 4.0 to reduce costs, accelerate process speed, and generate a positive return on investment (ROI). In this environment, cost reduction is defined as labor, material, and overhead. Lean methods are solely based on a “systematic elimination of waste.”

Over the past 30+ years, DVIRC has worked with more than 2,000 of the region’s 4,500 manufacturing plants and has completed over 1,000 Lean projects with companies that range from 10 to over 1,000 employees.  Each company is somewhere on the Lean journey, from little or no activity to fully engaged. Most of the 4,500 firms are somewhere in between.

Without exaggeration, there are billions of dollars waiting to be harvested by manufacturers in the five counties of Southeastern Pennsylvania. These are dollars that can be invested to support new products, new equipment, new market development, and employee training, or that can contribute directly to the bottom line. For many, the challenge is organizing an effort to harvest those dollars.

Any owner, CEO, or president reading this should know that this effort requires leadership buy-in and support to yield the greatest impact. Many of our most successful and profitable clients are companies with leaders that are fully engaged in their Continuous Improvement efforts, and that have empowered a strong leadership team that is also fully engaged.

DVIRC’s experts have “seen a thing or two” and have learned how to meet companies wherever they are in their Lean journey, jointly helping them define how to move from their current state to a future state by providing a step by step roadmap to get there.

Wherever you are on your Lean journey, DVIRC can meet you where you are to provide “right-sized solutions” to help you reduce waste and generate a positive ROI.
