The school collaborates with local businesses to provide students with valuable work experience and exposure to real-world careers. Cristo Rey “The School that Works” is an affordable, college-prep school that provides a work-study program for its students. Every student works one day per week at over 90 companies in the greater Philadelphia area. During our visit, we got to learn first-hand from the amazing students about the positive impact this program has had, empowering them with real-world experience and academic excellence.
The school’s impressive statistics speak volumes about its dedication to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive. With a 100% college acceptance rate, Cristo Rey Philadelphia sets the stage for students to pursue higher education and realize their dreams. The school’s emphasis on holistic development is evident through a 60% college persistence rate, demonstrating the enduring impact of their education.
Cristo Rey Philadelphia welcomes students from diverse backgrounds, including families with an average income of $10,102 per capita. Despite these economic challenges, the school’s relentless focus on excellence shines through.
